Great comments and Big Glitch

Great comments: Along with substantial comments about Number the Stars and several references to The Giver by Lois Lowry, during 1997 to date the CCBC -NET community has read in?pth comments about the discussion of translated books in Tallahassee, Florida, and reports of other award book discussions across the nation. Thank you!
Big Glitch: During the past couple of weeks, the individuals including myself - who've written comments to CCBC-NET have not realized that their messages were, indeed, posted to the CCBC-NET community. Why? Writers such as Kathy Isaacs, Sharon Grover, Ellen Fader, Eliza Dresang and others received "undeliverable" with their returned recent CCBC-NET messages, even though everyone else in CCBC-NET did receive their posting(s). Kathy et al did the next logical thing. They re-sent their messages, which is why the rest of us in CCBC-NET received several duplicate messages recently. Even though CCBC-NET guardian angel Christopher Dowling is hard at work this week beginning a new semester as a computer lab manager for the School of Education at UW-Madison, Chris is also working to analyze the problem and solve it. We regret the duplicate messages to all, and we regret the frustration each writer has experienced. What to do: Meanwhile, please don't be discouraged. Please send along other responses to reading The Giver and Number the Stars as well as the outcomes of your local awards discussions. Writers who receive an "undeliverable" message between now and the end of January, are encouraged to contact Chris Dowling
(cdowling at ccbc.soemadison.wisc.edu) or me directly to inquire if we received that particular posting. We'll no doubt be able to assure you that the CCBC-NET community did receive it. Meanwhile, our apologies to everyone.
