According to Megan Schliesman: Yes, Megan, you're absolutely right about Lynn Reiser. She has a knack also for providing quite a bit of information in some of her picture books (TOMORROW ON ROCKY POND and BEACH FEET) while still giving children the opportunity to "feel" the place. Her art always lets you know where you are, or where the characters are, but still allows children to use their imaginations in the setting. In the books that are filled with information, they span the gap from the very young who will use them for the "big" picture, to older children who will be fascinated by her "micro" world.
