I was happy to see Judy O'Malley's words of praise for Vera Williams' books.
I have watched my granddaughter delight in More, More, More since she was 12mos. old.She glows with anticipation as she carries the book to us chanting
"More, More, More", makes little noises of pleasure, curls her toes , checks her belly button, and knows that she is Little Guy and Pumpkin and Little Bird. She wraps herself in the love and laughter of the book around her like a cuddly blanket. Sometimes when she is tired, she wants to skip right to Little Bird and fall asleep.
I had read the book to kindergarten and first graders, who enjoyed it, but the perfect place for this book between two hands with a baby in your arms ready for that hug, that kiss on her eyes.
