Thank you, ccbc, for the lists and the listservs for the titles regarding specific areas for youth literacy. I feel some culpability for the recent tempest as to the appropriate use of ccbc services. It was never my intent to bring another agenda to this area. I had assumed that replies to my request would always be dircted to my e-mail address and never sent"at large". I was hesitant to enter that request, but as a classroom teacher it was important to get an opportunity to thoroughly read any books that appeared to fit our needs. The start a school year leaves little time for reflective reading, I applaud the ccbc for providing a forum for the thoughtful exchange of ideas. It would be helpful if, as suggested, an agenda/ schedule of topics be announced prior to the month's discussion. Thank you for your patience.
