I feel that I must respond to what seems to be an attempt to change the scope of CCBC-Net. I, for one, would not like to see CCBC-Net turn into let another listserv dedicated to stumpers and lists of titles. Although I feel that those listservs have their place, there are certainly enough of them that CCBC-Net need not add to their numbers. I have greatly appreciated the concentration on a true discussion of children's literature, even if at times people are too busy to generate many well thought out messages. I have always known that any message sent through CCBC-Net is worth reading for its intellectual content. So many times with the other listservs I end up deleting numerous messages in which I have no interest and would rather not receive in the first place. Are there others who agree with the original intent of the listserv and would like it to remain with its original "rules of conduct?"
