Please permit one parting comment regarding recommendng books or sharing books. It seems that sometimes it is worthwhile just to share a "ripping good"story with youth and let it go at that. Like the proverbial seed it make be worth just letting kids know you think it is good story. Other times it is fine to harbor higher expecations. (so it seems to me). Writings I ve found delightful from
"Chapter A Day" may never have been much for instructional value but then later....I find myself in the great situation of being one of few people in a kid's space tht can say to them.. ""Try this to read.." and not always have to close the sale..thanks
