To CCBC Folks:

We are reading novels and other genres of lit in a summer YA workshop by authors whose roots trace back to Japan, China, Korea, Southeast Asia or who are Caucasian but have written novels, i.e. Katherine Paterson and her historical novels about Japan and would like feedback from CCBC folks about novels written by Yoshiko Uchida, (Journey Home) Sook Nyul Choi,
(Year of Impossible Goodbyes), Kyoko Mori,(One Bird), Kyoko is also our guest speaker on June 27 in Eau Claire, any and all are welcome to spend the morning with us, Walter Dean Myers, (Fallen Angels) and Yoko Kawashima Watkins and Lensy Namioka. Who hass read novels by these folks? What are your responses? How have your students responded? Any info, comments, suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank You Dr. Ron Green UWEC, Eau Claire, WI greenrf at uwec.edu
