Although April is over, our collective interest in Vera B. Williams' books for children will not end. Please add other comments about her books in the future, even if her books are not on a current CCBC-NET discussion schedule. I can't resist passing along a recent remark made about CCBC-NET during the CCBC Advisory Board meeting last Friday by Cathy Retzer, an elementary school media specialist in Medford, Wisconsin: "It's nice to have adult conversation about children's books!" Now we'll turn CCBC-NET attention to biographies and autobiographies written and published for children and/or young adults. Megan Schliesman will facilitate the May CCBC-NET discussion.
Remember, you can retrieve files from CCBC-NET archives. 1) Request an index of archived files by sending the following message: To: listserv at ccbc.soemadison.wisc.edu Subject: index ccbc-net 2) To retrieve a specific archived file, send this message: To: listserv at ccbc.soemadison.wisc.edu Subject: get ccbc-net 3) For example, for the April files, write: get ccbc-net 04:1996
Happy May Day! Sincerely, Ginny
