This is my first posting to CCBC-Net, so I will introduce myself. I am Gretchen Dombrock, a recent graduate of UW-Madison SLIS and former CCBC volunteer. In January, I started my first position as a Children's Librarian with the New York Public Library.

As was stated in a previous posting, Vera Williams is perfect for the 3-6 year old crowd. I love reading _More, More, More_ in the pre-school story times because of the wonderful feedback in the faces of the audience. The words, the illustrators, the rhythm of the story makes them feel warm and loved. Whenever I do this book, I always get the children chanting along with me, smiling and laughing.

Williams has a way of conveying the brilliance of life. Life as it should be - joyous and fun. In her stories, it always feels like Spring has just arrived and a fresh breeze is blowing throough our minds. People so often forget how to feel joy, and Williams reminds us.
