I had an interesting situation arise with the book discussion of _Walk Two Moons_. I had read the book and enjoyed it. I read the various ccbc listserv comments with a sort of detached curiosity and printed up the digest version. Two teachers at our elementary school read the book and loved it. One was a music teacher, the other was a fourth grade teacher who promptly recommended the book to one of her students. The student also loved the book. Just for the fun of it I gave the reviews/comments to the music teacher because I thought she would enjoy the various viewpoints. Here's the interesting part ... she stated she was very glad she'd read the book before reading the reviews. She doubted that she would have enjoyed it as much. Doesn't it often seems we defeat material by the magnifying glass approach?
Just a thought!
