I'd like folks in the group to be aware of an author and an artist who, I think, are going to make wonderful contributions to the world of children's literature. Jane Kurtz is the author of several books. I recently shared her
"Fire on the Mountain" with the students at my K-5 school. This is an Ethiopian tale and had great appeal to all the students. The art is done by Earl (E. B.) Lewis and is incredible. It can stand alone as well as enhance the text. I would certainly like to see both these folks win some awards for their work.
